I am an ex-policeman and I have been discussing this change in the speed laws with some of my old associates and it appears that not many of us are in favour of it. The force as a whole are overstretched as it is and to burden us with this extra uneccesary workload is unexceptable in my opinion. We should be allowed to target the idiots and unroadworthy on the road and leave the normal motorists to get where they are going in safety. Travelling for longer periods over great distances is a recipe for disaster. I can forsee many more accidents as a result of these changes. I wish you luck at your mass protest and hope you can get through to these knumbskulls...
