Update

From now on any updates will be posted here for all to see. Please check out the following new news item updates within our web site highlighted in green below for your easy reference.

Road speed limits nationally need to be reviewed its common sense 110km/h – or indeed 130km/h is completely impractical click here what SA say

Overseas testing of vehicles will be lost worth $8 to 10 million!! These advances are important for our own automotive industry at a time when it needs all the help it can get.  Click here car testing should be supported. Did you know that nearly all the global car manufacturers come to the Northern Territory every year to test prototype vehicles purely because there are no speed limits. Companies such as Porsche click here

On our Home page   We invited Jodeen Carney the CLP Leader of the Opposition to confirm their commitment to repeal this no evidenced based law if relected.  Click here NT News article. Click here further support

Latest updates as at 4/11/07 are as follows to our site:

On our home page under NO EVIDENCESo for anyone to argue that by imposing a speed limit on NT open roads (e.g. the Lassiter Hwy http://www.abc.com.au/news/stories/2006/11/03/1780218.htm),  this link kindly forwarded to us by the Gecko points out the truth about the Lassiter Highway.  The Martin Administration should be ashamed.

This letter to the editor by Colin is pure gold and points out the acute incompetence of the Martin Administration

We have hard evidence that Demerit Points don’t work and they are just another way of restricting our lifestyle.  As we have said before you should never be allowed to pass laws based upon NO EVIDENCE.  Check this NT News introduction of demerits and how easy it is to loose your license now

Last election voting summery as you can see if we work smart we can target the areas we need to when the time is right and so SACK THESE FOOLS.

At the Darwin Show we had a stand see here for some more pics and a special thanks to all those who helped us on the day.

We have updated the Petition section of our site with a new fact sheet to be placed by the petitions.  Please help us and get as many petitions out there as possible as soon we will have the largest number of signatures ever gathered in the Territory, such is the anger with the rushed introduction of speed limits on our previously unrestricted highways.

Check out on our Home Page under No Evidence Even Clare Martin’s own Ministers are on record saying that speeding was never a problem on Northern Territory Highways see here for the proof.

Recently www.KeepNTLimitFree.org met with Jodeen Carney CLP Leader of the Opposition again and she reaffirmed her parties’ commitment to repeal the 130 speed limit as well as the Demerit Points laws if elected as Chief Minister in the next election.  SO SPREAD THE WORD and get behind the people who have the power to give us back our unique Territorian way of life.  In fact why not send her an email of support to jodeen.carney@nt.gov.au

Re: Update

Please check out the Beat Fines section of www.KeepNTLimitFree.org as we have added a new section about the best speed detection equipment we belive in Australia.  You will find it very informative.

Also the order form in the shop section has been changed to include Mouse Matts, Coffee Mugs and stickers.

Thank you for all your support.  Truth will prevail and we will get our open speed limit back.  Laws should NEVER be allowed to pass based upon false evidence.
