Gidday all, last week I set off down to MLB for the first time since the new speed limits were imposed. My usual itinerary (pre 130)  takes me from Alice at sunrise and into Burra before sunset. Likewise, on the return trip, I leave Burra at sunrise and I am back into Alice before sunset.   Not any more. Now I arrive into Burra well after sunset and into Alice now also after sunset. Both ways I was forced to drive at night for just over an hour to get to my destinarions. Those of you that have driven out here in the NT know the dangers of driving during dusk and at night. Because of the number of Kangaroos on the road at that time I was literally driving at 80kph. All in all the trip now takes 3 hours longer.
