I met with Terry Mills of the NT CLP yesterday and things went well. For more info see thread on KeepNTLimitFree research update.
Terry informed me yesterday that in 5 weeks time the NT Government will be holding what they call an Estimates Committee, at which the opposition can ask any question they like. It is all about open government.
Terry and the CLP have extended an offer for KeepNTLimitFree to think up questions which we may like to ask of the NT government and if they are deemed worthy they will put forward the questions on our behalf.
So, put the thinking caps on and get 'em rolling in.
Now, if you're a bit shy or you think your question may not be good, or whatever, send them onto the Administrator of this website via email. To do this click on the "Contact" tab on this website.
We will then collate the questions, give them to the CLP and see what happens.
Cheers

A question that I would like to see an answer to is.. "when the road toll in the Territory does not drop after the ALP's new road safety laws have been in place for 12 months, proving that they are not working, what will the ALP's response be?
110 on the main highways?? More speed camera's?? More police on the highways?
Or will they admit that they got it dead wrong and hold an early election??
So far to date evidence shows that since the introduction of a speed limit on previously unrestricted sealed roads that accidents have increased. Will the government in the interest of public safety repeal this law based upon this evidence after a one year period?
Neveragain
My personal opinion is that if the new road safety laws are deemed a failure then Clare Martin and Delia Lawrie should resign. Therefore our question could be "If the new road safety laws are proven to have failed will Clare Martin & Delia Lawrie resign?".
Pure and simple. I mean how could anybody argue their way out of that. If they cost lives then they should go. End of story
My friends
Having implemented a set of draconian laws as of Jan 1 2007 I am sincerly sorry.
Speed is only a small part of the problem here in the NT. I was wrong when I assumed that people would believe me. I admit that I was wrong.
I am a narcissist.

Seen as though you have decided to grace us with your presence on this website I will ask a couple of questions directly, why wait for the Estimates Committee 'eh.
Firstly, ll you reinstate the Stuart, Arnhem, Barkly and Victoria highways back to unrestricted status if the 130kmh limits are deemed to have failed?
Secondly, will yourself or Delia Lawrie, or both of you, resign if your road safety measures are proven to have failed?
And one last one just for fun. Just where do you get off thinking that being an ABC journo/DJ qualifies you to be a politician, let alone Chief Minister of the NT? How can you be a narcicist when you quite clearly suck more than a cheap whore...........that's right, you are a cheap whore, selling yourself out at every opportunity.
One bit of advice Claire, you are not our friend.
The Gecko
Hello again
Claire is my name, fame is my game.
All jokes aside, I did stuff up, Delia and I assumed the electorate would believe us.
We had evidence based evidence apon evidence which backed up our beliefs in a better territory.
I think over time the territory will assume it's rightfull place as the forerunner of policy based evidence based on statistics, based on evidence.
I believe when can create a better territory with these beliefs.
Please trust me.
I am women.
Yours sincerly, your Chief Minister
As your Chief Minister you gave me the mandate to implement policy based on reason and evidence.
I assumed you would trust my judgement, I do have access to evidence. You do not.
Trust me I am your friend.
Yours sincerly
Chief Minister
