Result - drivers drive fast where permitted but adhere to limits on other roads. Italy - point-to-point cameras on Autostrades to pplice 130 km/hr speed limits. Result - drivers drive at 200 km/hr or more, then pull up for a break so their average speed is under the limit. From personal observation over five months (Jan-June) in North America, England and Europe, Australian drivers are the slowest in the world!
